An historical perspective gives meaning to our immediate environment, our homes, gardens and places of work; where we spend the majority of our lives. The colours, shapes and images that surround us influence us in a profound way. Whether at work or at play we respond to what we see. And we can create our own environment deliberately. Though most of the artist's creations draw heavily on historical references you could alternatively flood your house with the vibrant colours of Mexican washes or take tea in the company of scarlet macaws and red-eyed tree frogs in a tropical rainforest...

Painting wall murals is just a part of it. Often the client needs help shaping their visual environment. Through a close collaboration a design is drawn up. The rest is up to the artist. On many occasions home interior designs require more than a paint job and other skills are needed. Mark has managed several projects in London supervising builders, carpenters, plumbers and electricians before preparing the walls for painting.
